Andrew Luck Acknowledges He Has Some Work to Do

Indianapolis Colts Head coach Frank Reich said on Wednesday that the plan is for QB AndrewLuck to play in the August 9 preseason opener against the Seahawks. Luck hasn’t played in a game since Week 17 of the 2016 season.

While Luck is confident about the progress he has made he acknowledges it’s a process.

“I have some work to do still,” Luck said, via Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan. “There will be situations on the practice field that I will not have been in yet, where I need that little extra tempo and speed. There are steps I still need to take. I’m not kidding myself.”

Luck added, “It’s the best I’ve felt in a long, long time. I’m really, really excited for this camp,” Luck told reporters Wednesday. “I understand how passionate Colts fans are and how excited they are for the season. But I can assure you this, no one is as excited as I am and no one cares more about it than I do.

The Colts are heavily invested in the talented franchise QB and expectations are high. Getting back to game shape could be a challenge. Colts fans will get a sample of where he is at on August 9.
